Charlie really was enthralled by that beer in his
hand. With it, he was no longer the
sophisticated wino that she’d come to know.
All it took was him sucking on the end of that longneck bottle before
his outward appearance aligned with the crude mother that he claimed to
be. Generally, that would be a complete
and total turnoff for her, but since she knew he was only crude when it suited
him, she kind of liked the superficial transformation.
He flicked a light switch that illuminated a lamp
somewhere within the room, and when she stepped inside, closed the door to
seclude them in privacy. Using, his free
hand, Jon cuffed her wrist and tugged lightly.
“C’mere.”
She gave a breathy sigh and sank into him, arms looping
around his neck so that her Corona dangled at between his shoulder blades.
Dipping his mouth to hers, Jon parted her lips with
purpose and drank deeply, stroking his tongue along hers with a succulence that
convinced Charlie he was more intoxicating than any beer or wine she’d ever
had. Kissing him was like sipping the
smooth and subtle sweetness of a fine red while simultaneously slamming back a
shot of private reserve whiskey. Kissing
him with Corona on his breath was…
indescribable.
“Oh Godddd…” she inhaled, breaking away to lick at his
bottom lip like a kitten lapping milk. “I
can’t believe it, but the taste of that freaking beer is more of a turn-on than
the visual. Is it gauche to screw on
your brother’s desk?”
His chuckle told Charlie that her inappropriate horniness
wasn’t grossly inappropriate, and blue eyes gleamed as Jon swept loose
tendrils away from her face. “Once you
see what’s on that desk, I’m bettin’ your priorities are gonna shift.”
With arms still firmly affixed around his neck, she
half-heartedly twisted her upper body to peer around for the desk. It would take something awfully tempting to
shift her priorities from the delicious man who looked at her as though she was
that shiny red apple in the Garden of Eden.
The side of the desk she could see from her current position held
nothing of interest and Charlie returned her full attention to him.
“Well, I don’t see anything that looks better than you,
and sure as hell nothing that tastes better,” she contended and lashed her
tongue along the seam of his mouth for another sampling of Corona Jon.
“Unnhhh.” Charlie
greedily swallowed his groan as the hard, cold beer bottle pressed against the
small of her back. With the hardness
there and the stirring of his interest against her stomach, the off-hand
comment about having sex on Tony’s desk became a serious consideration. Especially, when he growled, “I’m gonna do
dirty things to you tonight, birthday girl.
Things that’ll make you blush when you think about it in the morning.”
Becoming more aroused by the minute and unable to
completely relinquish the flavor of him, Charlie nibbled at his bottom lip
while sensuously shifting her torso against his. “This day just keeps getting better and
better. You’re setting a pretty high
standard for birthdays, yanno.”
“No standards, since I don’t give a fuck about my birthday. Now…”
He gently yet deliberately disengaged himself from her embrace and nodded
to a point beyond her left shoulder. “Go
get your real birthday gift before I change my mind.”
Charlie wasn’t interested in anything other than him, but
since his jaw was set in that determined way of his and blue irises were
equally insistent, it was futile to argue the point. Huffing lightly, she turned in the direction
he’d nodded and finally set her eyes on “the thing” he’d been talking about
with Lilah when they first arrived.
Smaller than a box of cereal, the size of the gift bag
wasn’t overwhelming, but it should have been impossible for her to miss. It was completely covered with lime green
glitter and, even sitting immobile on the cleared edge of the desk, the
dazzling sprinkles danced in the lamplight.
A plethora of yellow and white tissue paper that spilled at least a foot
above the top edge of the bag was also dusted with glitter, albeit silver instead
of green.
“Did you do this?”
“What the fuck do you think?” he snorted with one hand
hitched on his hip as the Corona dangled from the other. “No, but I commissioned it.”
She wasn’t surprised since this packaging screamed of
Lilah, but Charlie couldn’t resist teasing, “I bet you can’t even wrap a
present.”
“You bet right, but Santa’s elves work cheap, so why do I
need to? Now open damn the thing,
already.”
It was easy to read her face and mind tonight, and her
openness pleased him after the visit with Tico.
She wasn’t harboring any weird emotional fallout from the episode and,
right now, his woman was trying to decide if he was cute or an asshole. As long as she reserved judgment until after
opening the package, all his money was on cute.
Tucking one corner of her mouth into her cheek in a
smirk, a speculative eyebrow kicked up over narrowed eyes. He was completely unapologetic, and Charlie
put her own beer atop a stack of video magazines on the back corner of the desk
while trying to decide if that made him cute or an asshole.
The verdict came back as both, and she began withdrawing
pieces of tissue paper one at a time until it looked like a parade float had
exploded on Tony’s desk. Once the last
piece was out, she leaned over the open top and peeked at the single item
inside, turning curiously slitted eyes on him before poking her hand in to withdraw
it.
Turning it this way and that, Charlie saw that her gift
was a headband in a similar lime green as the bag. There were two equally green pancake-sized circles
affixed to it, and a bow was nestled between them – and the whole thing was cloaked
in a blanket of sequins. Every last bit,
and they twinkled as brightly as the glittery packaging.
It was definitely Lilah’s handiwork.
“These look suspiciously like… Mickey Mouse ears?” Chiara ventured, positioning the band on top
of her head and turning to him for approval.
He gave it in the form of a wink and slight nod while
correcting, “Tinkerbell Mickey ears, actually.”
“Tinkerbell Mickey ears.”
She dutifully echoed his words, thinking that it was sweet he’d asked
Lilah to find her something Tinkerbell themed for her birthday. Slightly odd and completely unpredictable,
but still sweet. “I’m not sure they’re
worthy of a blowjob, but they’re cute.
And thoughtful. Thank you.”
“I told Lilah it was too subtle, and the fucking glitter
bath she dunked it in didn’t do anything to help.” Plunking his empty Corona bottle beside hers
on the desk, Jon grabbed her around the waist and hauled her in until they were
stomach to stomach. “If the ears don’t
earn me a blow, maybe you’ll deem me worthy when I tell you what goes with
those ears.”
“Maybe,” she agreed tipping her chin up and subtly inhale
his beer-coated words. “What goes with
them?”
His smirk teemed with arrogance. Whatever it was, Jon was pretty damn sure she
was going to like it.
“There’s this thing…
Spooktacular. Ever hear of it?”
“Sounds familiar, but I’m not entirely sure what it is. Something to do with Disney and Halloween.”
“Very good,” he commended. “It all during the month of October. People are invited to wear costumes in the
parks. I’m told it’s the perfect
opportunity for a celebrity and his clandestine girlfriend to stroll around
Disney World unnoticed.”
Charlie’s eyes went wide as she sucked in a sharp breath
through her nose. “Are you telling me
that we’re going to Disney World? You’re
taking me to Disney World?”
“I’m taking you to Disney World, Counselor.”
His soft confirmation sent chills down her spine and a
warmth into the center of her chest.
Jon was taking to the one place she’d wanted to go for
years, that Owen and the boys had refused to go to. His arrogant smirk was totally
justified. She not only liked it, she
loved it – and loved him for doing this.
Going up on tip-toe, she squealed with delight and
wrapped her arms around him in a ferocious hug before fastening her mouth to
his. “I can’t believe it,” she murmured
against the softness of his lips. “You
are… the most amazing man, and I am utterly astounded by your thoughtful
kindness. From the bottom of my
heart… Thank you.”
“So that means I’m in for a blow?” he inquired
drolly.
Charlie admonishingly smacked his shoulder even as she
laughed, “Yes, you crude mother. You’re
in for a blow. Want it now or later?”
If he wanted it, she wouldn’t hesitate to drop to her
knees – as long as they locked the office door.
It didn’t even require the trip to Disney, although that made her a little
more willing than she might normally be.
She reached for his belt buckle, but Jon laid a halting
hand over hers before she could even begin to unfasten it. When Charlie lifted a questioning gaze, it
was to find cerulean eyes both soft with affection and luminous with
mischief.
“Since there’s more, I’m gonna negotiate for now and later.”
More? What more
could there possibly be? He loved and
wanted her and was taking her to Disney – along with his support in her current
unpleasant marital situation. There
wasn’t another thing he could do to make her any happier.
Still yet, he’d already surprised the hell out of her
once.
Because she was so
happy and feeling a bit feisty, Charlie tipped a curious head to the side and a
little negotiating of her own. “Even if
you get now and later, you’ll still do those dirty things to me, too? Blush-worthy things?”
“Yes, Counselor,” he promised with a chuckle while
tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
“As dirty as you want.”
“Okay, then tell me what else there is.”
He didn’t answer right away and, by the smug look on his
face, Jon was purposely stalling to build the anticipation. She knew it as well as she knew her own name,
and Charlie poked at his ribs to prod him along.
“Ow!” He shirked away with a playful scowl. “I see how you treat the guy who arranged for
us to stay in Cinderella’s castle. In
the middle of the Magic fucking Kingdom.”
Her brow furrowed with confusion. Staying in the middle of one of the theme
parks? She’d never heard of such a
thing.
“What do you mean by ‘stay’?”
“Cinderella’s castle has a guest room,” he explained with
a shrug.
“So they just book it like a hotel?”
“Not exactly,” he countered slyly. “Very few people get to use it. It’s usually just for promotions – contests and
the like. I happen to know a guy who
knows a guy whose sister knows a guy… So
we’re staying.”
Charlie was dumbfounded.
He was taking her to Disney World. To stay in Cinderella’s castle. In the middle of Magic Kingdom.
Un…freaking…believable.
Jon truly was setting a high standard for birthdays, but
right now, she didn’t mind. She was
flying high enough to soar right over it, and she planted both hands in his
hair and kissed him until they were both breathless.
“Unzip your pants,” Charlie instructed as she stepped
away to lock the door. “You earned now,
later and a coupon redeemable for another one anytime you so choose.”
Before she could turn around and return to him, Jon was
behind her as a hard, hot, living, breathing wall of flesh. Insistent hands shoved at the hem of her
dress, clutching both hips to spin her until Charlie’s buttocks were flattened
against the office door.
“I’d rather fuck you against the wall,” he growled hotly
in her face, sending a shiver zipping down from the top of her head to the very soles of her feet.
WWCD.
What Would Cinderella Do?
She’d let Prince Charming have sex against any wall he
wanted, whether it be in her castle or someone else’s. That’s exactly what she’d do, and who was
Charlie to argue with history’s most fabled princess?
OMG !! I think this is the ideal birthday that we would all like to have ... I can not wait to see how Disney is doing ... and what are the dirty things that Jon has in mind, I love this story !!!
